False ceiling as beam construction
The wooden beams are connected to the girders using dovetail joints. The top of the beam construction is covered with panels, insulation, or screed to ensure the required fire resistance and sound insulation of the entire ceiling. You decide whether the beam construction remains visible from below or is covered.
Especially for large spans or loads, a beam construction is the most economical solution.
False ceiling made of solid wood
The solid wood ceiling, also known as a board stack ceiling, consists of solid glulam beams, which are laid flat on the girders. The advantage is the smooth and finished appearance of the ceiling. The top can be additionally covered with panels, insulation, or screed to ensure the fire resistance and sound insulation of the entire ceiling.
The solid wood ceiling is particularly interesting for spans up to about 6 meters.
